‘The Graces’

Portraits of indoor plants taken with a studio polaroid camera.

A series taken as a fashion shooting, after a casting, here to reveal the rarity, the human being, the personality. Trying to get the attitude and the expression of the plant.
The polaroid becomes rare, it slows down the digital technology race and exposes itself without a possible alteration nor retouch : a result to exhibit as it is.
Here are portraits in nature, chlorophylls still-lives, fragile plants like memento mories, asking for care and for attention, for light and for water. They are taken in their natural environement, nevertheless far from the lands of their origins. Here their ornamental, purifying or useful quality is insisting. No flower arrangement, but a frame for unique plant.
