Incubatio, 2017, HD transferred Super 16mm film on 3 channels 29:00 min loop video installation, soundscape by Egon Thuile.
The images show a visionary and surreal architectural panorama. The Sardinian villa “La Cupola” – the abandoned house of Michelangelo Antonioni designed by Dante Bini – and the domes of the Albanian bunkers appear as places of “incubation”, environments conceived for isolation and communication to the gods. Architectural profiles seem to emerge from an out-of-this-world place, from a dream vision and subtracted from the temporal dimension. 2 persons in 2 different spacio-temporal states dream of each other.
« Zhuangzi rêva une fois qu’il était un papillon, un papillon qui voletait et voltigeait alentour, heureux de lui-même et faisant ce qui lui plaisait. Il ne savait pas qu’il était Zhuangzi. Soudain, il se réveilla, et il se tenait là, un Zhuangzi indiscutable et massif. Mais il ne savait pas s’il était Zhuangzi qui avait rêvé qu’il était un papillon, ou un papillon qui rêvait qu’il était Zhuangzi. Entre Zhuangzi et un papillon, il doit bien exister une différence !
